Cycling in Sanur Bali

Hiring a bicycle is inexpensive at only IDR 45,000 to IDR 65,000 per day. You can cycle anywhere in Sanur with many cycling along the beach path and the main tourist shopping street, Jl. Danau Tamblingan. The beach path is also busy with people walking — from families having a quiet stroll to speed walkers working up a sweat.

The beach path runs the length of Sanur, from Padang Galak to Suwung, with hotels, restaurants and shops on the one side and the white sands of Sanur on the other. If the exercise gets too much and you need a break, depending on where you stop, you can choose from Balinese snacks, fresh fruit, cappuccino, American breakfast, to traditional Balinese nasi campur (mixed rice), while enjoying the cool breeze and catching your breath. The beach is not the only view for Sanur cyclists. At one end of the beach path is the Suwung mangrove forest, while the village streets range from tiny meandering roads, to the dual carriageway bypass.
